The Donfather Whisky & Cigar Club is founded by Ray Lucia Jr. as a way to connect with like minded individuals. Ray is a University of San Diego High School alumni (Cathedral Catholic), class of 1993, and a San Diego entrepreneur.

We don't always drink whisky. 

But when we do, we drink the good stuff.

We don't always smoke cigars.

But when we do, we smoke the good stuff.

Once a Donfather, always a Donfather

As an entrepreneur, Ray has been in the financial services business for over 20 years. He began his career at Deloitte and Touche, where he established a strong financial background serving as a tax accountant to corporate and high-net-worth clients. Since that time, he has held a number of positions at various firms, including investment advisor, executive vice president, and CEO.  

Ray and his wife of 21 years, Devin, met in elementary school and have two amazing children, Tre and Sienna. Ray is a proud alumnus of University of San Diego High School, class of 1993. His son, Tre is a current student at Cathedral Catholic, class of 2023. His daughter Sienna is a future Don, class of 2027. In his spare time, Ray enjoys fine whisky & cigars, golfing, thoroughbred horse-racing, and spending time with his family.
